Interview of Prime Ministers of China and New Zealand
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, visiting Wellington, and his New Zealand counterpart, Helen Clark, began Thursday morning an interview to be devoted to bilateral relations and on international and regional issues of common interest.
After their talks, the two leaders should attend the signing ceremony of a number of agreements and documents on bilateral cooperation, before giving a joint press conference.
Wen, who arrived in Wellington Wednesday for an official visit, will also visit the Governor General of New Zealand, Silvia Cartright, and meet the opposition leader, Don Brash, Thursday afternoon.
New Zealand is the third leg of the current tour of Chinese Premier’s four-nation trip that has taken him to Australia and Fiji and will also take him to Cambodia.
